Lagos State Government To Provide Wi-Fi For Lagos Residents


Lagos State government is working on making Wi-Fi reachable to every resident in Lagos State.


According to the Permanent Secretary of the State's ICT Ministry Mrs Nike Animashaun, the first phase of the Wi-Fi connectivity would be positioned at parks located at different parts of the state.
Channels TV reported that the first phase of the Wi-Fi services will be located at parks in Oshodi, Alausa and Ajegunle. According to Mrs Nike Animashaun residents would be able to access Wi-Fi in these parks.
The state government came up with the idea to motivate and encourage the interest of children in science and technology and to strengthen the state's E-governance ability in other to conveniently serve its residents. However, it was not stated if the Wi-FI would be free.
