To all fans of Grey's Anatomy, its sad to report that the character Patrick Dempsey has exited Grey's Anatomy. In news still reverberating around the Internet, Dempsey was written out of Grey's Anatomy Season 11 Episode 21 when his beloved character, Dr. Derek Shepherd, got run over by an 18-wheeler.
He died with Meredith by his hospital bedside, telling a nurse to go ahead and pull the plug on her husband.
