A fire incident that occurred at Oke-Afa, Isolo area of Lagos State took the lives of three siblings identified as Christiana, Feranmi and Pelumi on Thursday.
It was gathered that the children had begged their mother not to lock them in the house before she took off but their pleas fell on death ears as she assured them she won't be gone for long.
Unfortunately, by the time she got back her children were already burnt to ashes. It was reported that she had separated with the father of the children who had initially took two of their children with him leaving other three kids with her.
According to Vanguard, this is not the first time she will be locking the children in the house. She locks them indoors whenever she goes out.It was gathered that the children had begged their mother not to lock them in the house before she took off but their pleas fell on death ears as she assured them she won't be gone for long.
Unfortunately, by the time she got back her children were already burnt to ashes. It was reported that she had separated with the father of the children who had initially took two of their children with him leaving other three kids with her.
Some of her neighbours narrated that she had gone to visit her secret lover because the man told her he didn't want any children in his house.
This might have prompted her to lock the children inside around 10pm.
The mother of the children is said to be on the run as members of the community had promised to burn her alive if they set their eyes on her in the neighbourhood.
The father of the children is traumatized at the incident, as he keeps blaming himself for not taking the rest of the children from her custody.
Lagos State Police Command have been silent on the fire incident alleged to have been triggered by a head-on collision between a LT 27 bus being chased by a team of policemen, and a 14-seater stationary commercial bus.
Report had it that a team of policemen, suspected to be from Ejigbo Division, chased the LT 27 bus loaded with jerry cans filled with petroleum product.
