Thumbelina is a dwarf miniature horse born May 1, 2001 as the world's smallest horse. She stands 43 centimetres tall and weighs 26 kilograms and officially received the title of world's smallest from Guinness World Records. Thumbelina was born in St. Louis, Missouri and owned by Paul and Kay Goessling. Her handler, Michael Goessling, cares for her along with many other miniature horses on their small farm in Ladue. Like many dwarf animals, Thumbelina is stout and possesses short limbs.
