Mother And Child Escape Colombia Plane Crash

A mother and her baby boy who disappeared in the jungle in Colombia for weeks after a plane crash have been found alive.
Nelly Murillo and her son Yudier Moreno were found five days later close to the site where the Cessna 303 crashed on Saturday.
The jungle was described as a thick forest near Quibdo in the province of Choco which is a dangerous place where no one could have survived. It still leaves the authorities speechless on how they might have survived.
Meanwhile, the commander of the Colombian air force in Antioquia Colonel Hector Carrascal expressed the incident as miracle because the area is wild and it was tragic accident.
Murillo and her baby were taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. The Colombian air force said the lady sustained wounds and minor burns but the child is unharmed.
However the plane's pilot, Captain Carlos Mario Ceballos, died in the crash and rescuers found his body in the aircraft. They noticed the doors of the plane was wide open and suspected that survivors may have spread out.
A rescue team that were in search of the survivors found the mother and child.
