The Republican Liberty Party in Kenya has planned to protest naked against President Barack Obama’s support for homosexuality. The protest is to kick off on July 22 and 23 in accord with the U.S president’s visit on July 24 to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Summit. It was reported that the protest will include five thousand naked men and women to show the difference in both sex.
A thousand sex workers have agreed to participate in the nude march and more people are still being encouraged to join the protest.
The party leader Vincent Kidala, confirmed that a bill was passed in 2013 to forbid same sex marriages in the country but enough effort has not been made to make it effective because of several intervention from the U.S. government.A thousand sex workers have agreed to participate in the nude march and more people are still being encouraged to join the protest.
Though, some religious leaders have joined the movement to urge Obama to drop the gay rights issue. While African traditional leaders emphasized that their culture frowns at homosexuality.
On the other hand, the Kenyan Presidency has encouraged President Obama to champion the gay rights in respect to the U.S. Supreme Court ruling.
Meanwhile, the march is said to start from Nairobi’s Freedom Corner to the street.
