19 Students Suspended For A Week For Arguing In Favour Of Gay Rights

Reports have surfaced as regards the suspension of some high school students for supporting gay rights in the course of a debate in the school.
The 19 students from St. Mary’s Kibabi Boys High School in Bungoma County were suspended because it was perceived they were homosexuals. This was presumed because the students offered valid arguments in support of the gay rights which made their opponents suspect they have been practising it.
It was gathered that the issue came up due to the upcoming visit of US President Barack Obama.
The White House spokesperson has confirmed that the President has every intention of discussing gay rights on his trip to Kenya as against the country’s wish.
On the other hand, the suspended students were said to report back to the school next week with their parents to hear the verdict against them.
Gay sex is currently illegal and punishable by up to 14 years in prison in the country.
God help them.
