Tanker Explodes In Idumu Area In Lagos

A Petrol tanker has exploded around Idumu bus stop in Lagos. It was gathered that the explosion occurred after two diesel tankers tried to overtake each other on the narrow road, but one of them over-turned in the process and spilled its content on the road.

Unfortunately, the tanker caught fire immediately after impact.

It was gathered that the fire incident could have been worst if the Lagos State Fire Service did not arrive the scene on time. The fire fighters were said to have struggled to put off the fire for more than  five hours.

However, it was not immediately determined if there were casualties, but properties worth millions of naira were destroyed.
