A 26 year old female student of Delta State University, Abraka, committed suicide because she was dumped by her long time lover.
Evelyn Mogekwe had been in the relationship with the young man for seven years with the hope of spending the rest of her life with him.
A phone call changed the story when Evelyn's boyfriend called the relationship off. She was shocked at the news as her plans to get married to him will never happen.
It was gathered that after the phone call her countenance changed because she kept to herself for a while. It was reported that she complained of headache when her friends asked her why she was gloomy. She excused herself for some time stating that she had to get some drugs for the headache.
Evelyn's absence raised a few eyebrows when her friends noticed she had been gone for hours.Her room mate raised alarm when she found her dead after checking the room.
Efforts to rescue are was futile has she had given up the ghost.
