Fox has slotted the September 23, 9 PM for the Season 2 premiere of hit hip-hop drama Empire. Series star Taraji P. Henson initially tweeted the news and then the official Empire writers’ Twitter handle confirmed the news.
The soapy drama will have some big-name guest stars for the second go-round including Chris Rock, Alicia Keys and Lenny Kravitz. The breakout first season featured guest stints by Jennifer Hudson, Courtney Love, Naomi Campbell, Gladys Knight and Snoop Dogg.
