Sam Smith Cancels Australian Tour Due To Bleeding Of His Vocal Chords
Sam Smith has been forced to cancel his Australian tour, including an appearance at the 57th TV Week Logie Awards after suffering hemorrhage on his vocal chords.
In statement released on Tuesday afternoon, April 27, Smith said: ''I have been vocally exhausted for a while now, however, last night in Sydney I had a small hemorrhage on my vocal chords.''
The multi-award winning British singer got the news just hour to his second night performance in Sydney. He said he was deeply saddened by the news.
Sam Smith said the doctors have told him he needs to rest until his vocal cords have healed, otherwise this could become a huge long-term issue.
However, those who purchased their tickets from the authorized outlets will be offered a first purchase option on the new tour.
Frontier Touring has reveal they are working with the 22-year-old Grammy winner to reschedule a new run of shows for December 2015.
